Student-Faculty Ratio
FTE students divided by FTE instructional staff, excluding stand-alone graduate and professional programs.
Definition
The ratio of full-time equivalent (FTE) students to full-time equivalent instructional staff, that is, students divided by staff.
How it is calculated
Each FTE value is the number of full-time students or staff plus one third of the number of part-time students or staff.
Students enrolled in stand-alone graduate or professional programs, and the instructional staff teaching in them, are excluded from both the full-time and part-time counts.
